Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to shaped catalyst bodies for separating off inorganic impurities in hydrorefining processes, the shaped catalyst bodies consisting of porous alumina components and hydrogenating metal compounds and having a three-armed cross-sectional profile with a circumscribing diameter of 1.5 to 3.4 mm. These shaped bodies are, according to the invention, helically twisted about the longitudinal axis at a pitch angle of 65 to 72 DEG with a catalyst body length/pitch height ratio of 0.3 to 0.6. The product of the circumscribing diameter and the geometrical surface area/geometrical volume ratio has values from 8.5 to 13.
