Zusammenfassung: | 649,389. Wheel tyres. HALLGREN, K. S. July 14, 1948, No. 18954. [Class 144 (ii)] A hollow rubber cushion tyre 1 comprises a casing having transverse reinforcing ribs 4 moulded, vulcanized or glued to the inside of the tyre only at the tread wall 2 portion of the tyre and spaced evenly therearound, the ribs 4 being wedge - shaped in crosssection tapering towards the wheel centre, and shaped in elevation to conform with the inner cross-section of the casing, and the base length of each rib being almost equal to the width of the tread. A pair of discontinuous longitudinal wedge-shaped ribs 5 may be provided on the inside of each side wall of the tyre so that they abut together in pairs between the ribs 4 as shown by the dotted lines 6 (Fig. 3). The tyre is thus such that it can be moulded " inside out." |
