Lighting armature (1) for a vehicle, wherein a lamp holder (3,4) is arranged movably along a carrier in a guide channel (2) in lengthwise direction thereof between an extended position in which the lamp holder (3,4) is situated substantially outside the carrier and a retracted position in which the lamp holder (3,4) is situated substantially along the carrier, which guide channel (2) comprises an elongate plate provided on its two long sides with standing edges (7,8) which in cross section have a substantially concave form on the mutually facing inner sides, and which lamp holder (3,4) comprises a housing (9,10) which is guidable with a bottom surface along the elongate plate (25) and of which edges (11,12) standing away from this bottom surface have in cross section a substantially convex form which is complementary to the concave form of the edges (7,8) of the guide channel (2) such that the edges (11,12) of the housing (9,10) are enclosed by the edges (7,8) of the channel.
