Zusammenfassung:Use of a water-insoluble S-camptothecin with a closed lactone ring, which is e.g. 20(S)-camptothecin, 9-nitro-20(S)-camptothecin or 9 amino-20(S)-camptothecin in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of colon cancer. The medicament may be administered via an intramuscular, oral or transdermal route. Oral administration of 20(S)-camptothecin, 9-vitro-20(S)-camptothecin or 9-amino-20(S)-camptothecin may be used in a regimen of treating with the compound for 5 consecutive days and with 2 consecutive day intervals of no treatment.
