| Zusammenfassung: | A miniature magnetometer includes a planar magnetoresistive element (14) having a height H between lateral edges. First and second laminated flux collectors (16, 18) of height H partially overlap, respectively, the lateral edges of the magnetoresistive element in co-planar relationship wherein the flux collectors are separated laterally by a gap G which is less than the height H of the magnetoresistive element. The magnetic field sensor (10) has a resultant height of 2H+G, with the ratio (2H+G)/G being approximately 95 in a presently preferred embodiment. |
