Zusammenfassung: | In a turning control apparatus for a vehicle (82), a torque calculation unit (51, 56) calculates a target lateral acceleration of the vehicle (82) according to detection signals from a steering angle sensor (84) for detecting the direction of a steering wheel and a vehicle speed sensor (80, 81) for detecting the speed of the vehicle (82). It then sets the target driving torque of the engine (11) according to the target lateral acceleration. An electronic control unit (15) controls the operation of a torque control device (76) for reducing the driving torque of the engine (11) so that the driving torque of the engine (11) is a target driving torque independent of manipulation by the driver. This thereby rapidly estimates the lateral acceleration applied to the vehicle (82) during turning and prevents the control delay to enable stable and positive travelling through a curved road. |
