Zusammenfassung: | A signal processor (1) derives a digital signal (Vd) from digital information recorded on an information carrier and applies said digital signal (Vd) both to a peak detector (2) for generating a control signal (Vr) and to a digital amplifier (3) whose gain is controllable. The control signal (Vr) is related to a peak level in the digital signal (Vd) and controls the gain of the digital amplifier (3), whose resulting amplified digital signal (Vv) drives a digital-to-analog converter (4) to the maximum extent in order to produce an analog output signal (Va) on an output terminal (5). In addition, the peak detector is adapted to receive a peak code (Vp) recorded on an information carrier, which peak code can be derived from the digital information by the signal processor (1) and is a further measure of said peak level. |
