Zusammenfassung:Catalyst compositions comprising a Group VIII metal and a tetrakisphosphine of the general formula (R R P)4R , wherein R and R represent identical or different optionally polarly substituted hydrocarbyl groups and R represents a tetravalent organic group which connects the four phosphorus atoms and has such a structure that there are at least two carbon atoms between every two phosphorus atoms, and a process for the preparation of polymers of carbon monoxide with one or more olefinically unsaturated compounds using such a catalyst composition.
