In the switch, the central part of each flexible strip (8,9) is fixed to the moving part (1) of the switch and each of the ends (8a,9a) of the strips is housed in the mount (10a) of a support (10). An operating mechanism (17) acts on a flexible control strip (18) lying perpendicular to the axial displacement of the operator so as to transmit the movements to the moving part. The moving part has a pushbutton (3) which is insulated from the contact piece (2). The flexible strips deflect to allow simultaneous connection of the two fixed contacts (4,5) by the contact piece. A closure plate (7) separates the contacts from the major part of the pushbutton.
