Optisches Plattenlaufwerk

An optical disk drive of decreased unit cost and reduced size. The optical disk drive includes a frame (100), a base chassis (120) rotatably installed on the frame (100), a spindle motor (101) and a pick-up device (130) installed on the base chassis (120), a tray moving (110) into and out of the frame when a disk cartridge (10) is mounted on the tray (110), a loading device (140) for operating the tray (110) and the base chassis (120), and a disk cartridge recognizing device (200) for sensing whether or not recognition holes (13) formed through a disk cartridge case (11) are opened or closed to display data of the disk cartridge (10). The disk cartridge recognizing device (200) includes switches (210) fixed to a front part of the frame (100), and a switch operating portion for operating the switches (210) according to whether or not the recognition holes (13) are opened or closed.
