Zusammenfassung: | The vectored thrust nozzle consists of a ring of convergent flaps pivoted to the outlet end of a fixed annular structure (2), and a ring of divergent shutters pivoted to the outlet end of the convergent ones. The divergent shutters are also connected to a vectoring ring (13) by a series of power cylinders (20) anchored to the fixed structure to permit adjustment of the nozzle's outlet section and deviation of the ejected gas flow relative to the axis of the engine. The power cylinders are connected to the vectoring ring by ball joints (22) and are connected to the fixed structure so they can withstand the tangential forces produced by the gas flow impinging on the divergent shutters. The body (26) of each power cylinder is articulated at its forward end to the fixed structure so it can pivot in a radial plane, and has a sliding sleeve (25) connected to the vectoring ring by the ball joint. |
