Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an adjusting mechanism of a variable-pitch screw, such mechanism using a slipping clutch in the region of the screw. The blades or the parts altering the position of the blades are retained in their position frictionally by means of a slipping clutch. During the adjusting operation, forces are produced which overcome the frictional engagement between the parts. On completion of the adjusting operation the friction forces resume their function of retaining the blades. The slipping clutch may form part of the block mounting (figure 1, not shown) or part of the transmission between a hydraulic motor and the blades (figure 2, not shown). |
