Zusammenfassung:Reducing the viscosity of a concentrated elastan soln. prior to wet or dry spinning is claimed, where an elastan soln. is disclosed as being a soln. of a polymer comprising hard polyurethane or polyurea segments and soft polyester or polyether segments in a solvent such as dimethylacetamide or DMF. The process comprises adding a sec. aliphatic amine to the soln. in an amt. of 0.2-1 wt.% based on the polymer content of the soln., which is at least 30 wt.%, and allowing the mixt. to react at 20 deg C or more for 1-60 min. before adjusting it to a spinning temp. of 20-80 deg C.
