Zusammenfassung:	The appts. includes a production conveyer belt (8). This carries away palettes (7) which hold a number of layers of bricks (2). A measuring system (1) analyses the tolerances of one and/or more layers of bricks (2). The measuring system (1) may include a measuring bridge (3) with at least two individual measuring stations (4). One measuring station (4) may have an optical laser measuring system. The measuring system (1) may have a computer which performs a comparison between the actual value and the target value of e.g. the shape and size o the bricks (2). The results of the measurement may be output by a printer or may be fed back to the brick manufacturing appts. If certain tolerances are exceeded, the system may generate an acoustic or optical warning signal and/or send a signal to the brick manufacturing appts.
