Zusammenfassung:The position sensor consists of a cylindrical housing (1) divided into two pressure chambers (5,6) by a moving piston (4). One cylinder end (2), made of non-magnetic material, e.g., aluminium, has a finger-like projection (10) extending into the cylinder. A blind bore (11) of the projection holds a magnetically operated switch (12).A ring-shaped permanent magnet (17) is fixed to the piston and can slide over the projection with a small clearance. Pref., the piston is pot-shaped with the permanent magnet fitted inside the piston open end. The blind hole is positioned in an insert (10) and runs in the area of the pressure chambers.
