Zusammenfassung:A novel magnetic recording powder, consisting of an oxide compsn with a hexagonal crystal structure of ferrite type, has (a) the compsn 14-20 at% strontium and/or barium oxide, 15-40 at% chromium oxide, 2-15 at% zinc magnesium and/or copper oxides, 2-15 at% titanium, zirconium and/or tin oxide, balance iron oxide and impurities; (b) a saturation magnetisation of at least 15 emu/g; and (c) a Curie temp of max 155 deg C.
