Zusammenfassung:	The mobile radio transmission/reception unit is particularly for the mobile part of a cordless telephone with an earphone arranged in a housing. A rod (16) protrudes out of the housing. The rod has a sound inlet aperture (160). The distance between the latter and the earpiece (120) approximates the distance between the ear and the mouth of the user. The rod (16) is preferably a sound conductor with a sound inlet aperture (161) aligned with a microphone. The rod is preferably formed as an antenna and is preferably flexible. The rod may be formed such that the whole length of the housing and the rod can be reduced, e.g. by rod being telescopic.
