Drum-type washing machine with an oscillating assembly

The invention relates to a drum-type washing machine with an oscillating assembly having a tub (1) made of steel and a drum rotatably mounted in the tub (1), the tub (1) consisting of a cylindrical casing (19), of a rear wall (5) and of a front wall (6) provided with a door aperture, there being arranged in the region of the rear wall (5) of the tub (1) an essentially circular bearing bowl (2) receiving a bearing and designed as a stamped steel part and/or there being arranged in the region of the front wall (6) a balancing weight which consists of an essentially annular clamping plate (3) and of an additional mass attached to the latter and circular or in the form of a segment of a circle. In order to improve the tie-down of the bearing bowl or clamping plate, the casing (19) forms with the rear wall (5) or the front wall (6) a continuous axially directed edge extension (7). Moreover, the bearing bowl (2) or the clamping plate (3) possesses in its edge regions (12) part regions (14; 15) which are formed by radial indentations (13) and at least some of which are bent inwards in relation to the tub, the bent part regions (15) bearing on the inside of the edge extension (7).
