Device for mounting an electrical appliance on a mounting rail

The present invention relates to a device for mounting an electrical appliance (6), whose housing (1, 2) has a rigid base plate (11) having a central recess (12) which is matched to a mounting rail (3) and is bounded by lateral sliding guides (15, 16), in which sliding guides edge strips (34, 35) of the rail (3) slide, characterised essentially in that a locking bolt (4) is provided which is made of elastomeric material, is guided and held in a receptacle (17) in the base plate (11) of the housing, and is supported by means of a supporting surface (42) on the rigid housing and by means of a supporting surface (43) on one edge (36) of the rail (3) so that the locking bolt is compressed during assembly along an axis (Y-Y') at right angles to the longitudinal axis (X-X') of the recess (12), that sliding guide (16) which is opposite the locking bolt (4) being in contact with the second edge (37) of the rail (3), and the recess (12) having dimensions which are adapted for clipping on by compression of the locking bolt (4).
