Zusammenfassung: | The plant culture inside the glasshouse (2) has an array of vertical surfaces (3) on swivel mountings to follow the sunlight. Each vertical surface has an inner porous layer and two outer cover layers. Plants are rooted into the inner layer and extend out through holes in the outer layers on both sides of the growing surfaces. Water based nutrients are trickled down the inner porous layer. The nutrients are prepared in a self contained preparatory unit (4) inside the glass house. The prepared mixture is pumped to the tops of the growing surfaces and is allowed to run down over the shallow root system in the porous layer. A light sensitive control swivels the growing surfaces to follow the sunlight. |
