Zusammenfassung:	To increase the bursting speed and facilitate the manufacture of a friction facing for a motor-vehicle friction clutch, the proposal is to wind the strand material in such a way in undulating windings (5) that the radially inner and/or radially outer reversal zones (7, 9) of the windings (5) are each distributed over a plurality of concentric circles (ri, r'j, r'a, ra) of different diameters, the radii of these circles differing from one another by more than the thickness of the strand material. These measures ensure a more uniform weight per unit area of the wound strand material by a more uniform distribution of the reversal zones of the windings (5) over the surface of the friction facing.
