Zusammenfassung:	Prepn. of metal hydroxides and/or metal oxy-hydroxides from the corresp. metal ions and OH ions comprises forming the metal ions in a membrane electrochemical process by anodic dissolution of the corresp. metal in the anode compartment, forming the OH ions by redn. of water in a cathode compartment bounded by an anion exchange membrane and transferring the OH ions through this membrane into the anode compartment by the driving force of an electric field. The novelty is that the metal is dissolved at pH above 7 in the presence of a ligand (I).
