Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a process for combining a first metal workpiece with at least a second one to form a composite component, in which the first workpiece is finished and the at least one second workpiece is produced by pouring the material in its molten state on at least one contact surface of the first workpiece and allowing the material to harden. The material of the second workpiece has a melting point at least 150 DEG C above that of the first and the contact surface of the first workpiece is such that, on hardening, as the second workpiece shrinks on the first, the two parts are assembled by positive connection which can be reinforced by a mechanical or material link. The composite component obtained by this process is preferably a fabricated piston, a cylinder head, a shaft or a shaft bearing arrangement. |
