Shaping press

The adjustment of the pressing pistons for shaping meat pieces takes place 2-dimensionally or 3-dimensionally, it being known that the rams have fixed heights. It is likewise known that, with such arrangements, either the meat structure can be damaged or the meat piece is undulated in the case of thicker or thinner meat pieces. For this reason, a pressing piston is modified in height either for the length or the width. The thickness ram (2) is in this case moved at a given pressure and the thickness or height of the meat piece is adjusted automatically. With the proposed self-adjusting ram (1) for the length or the width, the ram (1) which adjusts to the different thicknesses of the meat piece can end the respective difference in height of the individual pieces in the pressing mould in the case of differing thickness and the structure of the meat is not changed.
