Zusammenfassung:	Solid packing material used for example for household goods, pharmaceutical products and in industry, with a capacity up to 1500 ml and made of aluminium, glass, plastic, resin board or other metal sheeting are processed, without being reduced in size or sorted, in a solid bed pressurised gasifying plant. They are mixed in a proportion of less than 20%, contg. more than 20% coal and less than 60% other residues which contain heavy metals. At temps. between 100 and 1500 deg C, the packaging materials are converted into useful gases and slag forming agents. The slag formers fix the heavy metal constituents from the other residues within the structure of the slag.
