Zusammenfassung:Heat-curable coating materials (I) are based on carboxyl- functional polyester resins (II), polyfunctional epoxides and/or β-hydroxyalkyl-amides (III), and opt. other conventional additives. The binder resin(s) (II) are obtd. from (A) not more than 10 mole pts. isophthalic acid, (B) at least 90 mole pts. 8-16C aromatic dicarboxylic acid(s), 6-22C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid(s) and/or 8-16C cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid(s), (C) at least 50 mole pts. 4-12C branched aliphatic diol(s) and (D) not more than 50 mole pts. 2-22C linear aliphatic diol(s) and/or 6-16C cycloaliphatic diol(s). Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I), by mixing (II) with crosslinker(s) (III) and opt. other additives in the melt at 90-130 degrees C, extruding, granulating, milling and sieving to a particle size of less than 100 microns. Also claimed are protective coatings produced from (I).
