Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The printer includes a store for cut sheets and a feed mechanism for feeding them successively to the printing station which are built into the machine housing such that the base of the paper feeder is also the base of the machine housing. A plate (230) on which a stack of paper may be placed, is pivotally engaged with the casing at the rear end, and is urged upwardly by a spring (233) whereby to engage the topmost sheet against a feed roller. Associated with the plate (one each side) are a pair of levers (240) pivoted to the machine (243), and having respective detaining members (241) for engagement under the bias of spring (246) with respective corners of the leading edge of the topmost sheet, to control separation of the sheet when the feed roller rotates. An abutment (242) on the lever (240) engages the paper lifting plate (230). When paper is inserted, a flap (260) is raised, which depresses the rear end of lever (240). This in turn depresses the plate (230) and raises the detainers (241) to provide easy access for the paper.
