Apparatus for producing plastics articles by thermoforming

An apparatus for producing plastics articles by thermoforming is specified. It is characterized by a first sector with means for unwinding a web of plastic (5) wound up as a coil (1), a second sector with means for receiving the web of plastic (5) and with an oven for heating the web of plastic, and also a third sector with a rotating mould (14, 15, 17), having a plurality of mould front sides (16) which respectively define the shape of an article, the rotating mould (14, 15, 17, 18) being provided with a first stage, which receives the web of plastic (5) and has means for compression moulding of the web of plastic (5) around the said shape of the article, and also comprises a second stage, which receives the mould front sides (16) from the said first stage and cools the shaped article, and is also equipped with a third stage, which receives the mould front sides (16) from the second stage and has means for removing the shaped article from the mould front sides (16) and, after removing the shaped article, removes the mould front sides (16) to the said first stage.
