Fail safe checking safety belt lock with microswitch

The safety belt lock is provided in a safety unit to receive and lock an inserted tongue. It has a lock housing (10) and an insertion path (12) in the housing (10), for the tongue. The path (12) contains a spring biased ejector (18). A bolt (14) is mounted pivotally in the lock and cooperates with the tongue when locked. A sliding button on the housing (10) to lift the lock. A microswitch (19) is also provided in the safety belt lock. The switch (19) is coupled to two independent function parts (bolt 14, ejector 19) such that it only takes up its closed position, directed to trigger further function elements of the safety unit, when both function elements (14,18) of the lock are simultaneously in the locked position.
