Zusammenfassung:	An inductive position pickup has a primary coil, a displaceable core and a secondary coil or differential reactor system which generates the measuring voltage as a function of the displacement of the core. In order to linearise the measuring signal, in particular in order to compensate temperature-dependent signal variations, a third, stationary control coil 15 is provided which detects the magnetic flux emanating from the primary coil 11 and whose output voltage is evaluated for the purpose of keeping the magnetic flux of the primary coil constant.
