Modular stacking crate for transporting with sides and base - has at least one ridge in base, and at least one recess or hole in each side

The inner side surface of the crate is smooth or appears unbroken. The outside of the base has at least one ridge (20). The crate height does not exceed the depth of the at least one hole or recess (16,18) in each side. The recess or hole is shaped like a pyramid with a rectangular base, and the tip forming the extreme point on the base, or is shaped like a prism with triangular cross section one corner of which forms the base, or is shaped like a spherical shell, or is shaped like a cylinder section cut parallel to its axis and with the cylinder generatrix at its base. The recess or hole has at least two ridges (20,22) joined at right angles. USE/ADVANTAGE - The crate volume for containing loose goods is maximised. It has sides reinforced by ridges. It is easily transported by fork lift truck, and can be stacked with other crates.
