Pedalwertgeber

A signal transmitter comprises a shaft (12), which is rotatable in a housing (11) by a motor vehicle accelerator pedal against the force of a restoring spring. The shaft cooperates with a rotary angle sensor delivering an electrical pedal value signal and is connected, secure against relative rotation, with a guide cage (22) for at least one runner body (23). Provided in the housing (11) is a guide surface (27) for the body (23), against which this is biassed by a spring (26). The guide surface has a ramp (28), which corresponds to a predetermined angle of shaft rotation and by way of which the body (23) is displaceable against the spring bias from a first portion (29), which is at 8 first level of the surface (27) to 8 second portion (30), which is at a second level. The body (23) is mounted in the cage (22) to be movable parallelly to the surface (27) in such a manner that on return movement of the pedal of the body drops over or entirely bypasses the ramp so that no increase in force is felt when the pedal returns from kickdown.
