Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a process for preparing scrap batteries for a subsequent chemical and physical treatment and separation of the constituents, in which the scrap batteries are cooled by an inert gas and are comminuted in at least two comminution devices separated from each other by at least one separator device and the residues are separated off. In order to decrease the operating costs in the preparation of the scrap batteries for a subsequent chemical and physical treatment and to avoid the transfer to the surrounding air of gaseous pollutants which would pollute the air, the scrap batteries are cooled to a temperature of about +10 DEG C to -100 DEG C for the entire period of their treatment in substantially gas-tightly closed treatment facilities and the air containing the inert gas and the air-polluting, gaseous pollutants is extracted from the treatment facilities and fed to an exhaust air treatment unit. |
