Zusammenfassung:	A needle pulse former (switching device) (6) is provided, which applies a train of needle pulses (NI) at the output connected to the load (L). The needle pulses respectively have a constant pulse width and only the interval between two adjacent needle pulses can be changed. The key relationship (tl/tp) amounts approximately above "0" to 0.3, tl is the constant pulse duration and tp is the changeable pulse interval. The voltage amplitude of the needle pulse (NI) is at least about a factor of 1.7 larger than the rated voltage.
