Clamping and lifting device for winding installations

A clamping and lifting device (1) for cyclically removing the hoisting ropes (2) of alternatively one of the strands of a winding installation, having lifting cylinders (5) for the up and down travel of the device (1), tension wedges (10) displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the hoisting ropes (2), and clamping elements which are each allocated in pairs to a hoisting rope (2) and can be pressed frictionally against the hoisting rope (2). The clamping and lifting device (1) enables the hoisting means to be lifted or the ropes or strands lying in the shaft to be secured in a simple manner if a tension wedge (10) is allocated to the external clamping element (16a and 18b) of the two outer clamping-element pairs (16 and 18 resp.). At its side remote from the clamping element (16a or 18b), the tension wedge (10) is provided with catch recesses (11, 12) having top and bottom wedge surfaces (13, 14). Tension rollers (6, 7) arranged on the frame (3) of the device engage in the catch recesses (11, 12).
