Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an agent for carrying out material conversion processes for inorganic, nonmetallic fibre materials, in particular for the chemical transformation of asbestos and asbestos-containing fibre composite materials. According to the invention, the chemical transformation is carried out by complexation of the magnesium and/or calcium by means of uronium fluorometallates and/or a material combination of urea, derivatives thereof or compounds derived therefrom and fluorometallic acid in aqueous solution at temperatures of from 0 to 80 DEG C, preferably at room temperature. In this way, the fibre materials which were originally hazardous to health are transformed into valuable materials which can be used for a useful application, such as building protection or wood protection agents, in connection with building renovations when disposing of asbestos. The amorphous silica obtained as residue can be used as filter material, filler or support material. |
