Zusammenfassung:Water-dispersible binder agent (I) (film former) for aq. nail varnish contg. standard components, comprises an aq. urethanated oil-modified polyester resin dispersion having a solids content of 30-50%. (I) pref.contain 0-60 wt.% (w.r.t. prepd. nail varnish) water-thinnable or sol., natural or synthetic resin, pref. an aq. cellulose nitrate dispersion. (I) are pref. prepd. by reacting an oil-modified polyester resin with a dihydroxycarboxylic acid and a diisocyanate at a NCO/OH ratio of 2-1:1 in the presence of a solvent at least partially miscible with water, and then distilling off the solvent. USE/ADVANTAGE - Useful as binder agents for nail varnishes (claimed) in an amt. of 20-90 wt.% w.r.t. prepd. nail varnish. The nail varnishes show improved scratch resistance, hardness, and water-resistance compared with prior art aq. based varnishes and contain no carcinogenic substances.
