Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines with a pump piston (1) guided in a cylinder sleeve (5) and there defining a pump working chamber (9), which piston interacts with a control aperture (11) in the wall of the cylinder sleeve (5) in order to control the high pressure feed. For controlling the start of delivery the pump piston (1) on its front face (7) has three control edges (14, 18, 20), staggered in the piston's longitudinal direction, a zero delivery area being provided between the first control edge (14) controlling a very early start of delivery and the other control edges (18, 20). The end of delivery is controlled by way of an inclined control recess (22) in the piston circumferential surface connected to the pump working chamber (9), which recess is formed from two inclined grooves (24, 28), offset in relation to one another, the edges of which on the pump working chamber side form a first inclined control edge (26) and a second inclined control edge (30), separated from the former by a step (32), the distance between the second inclined control edge (30) and the second front face control edge (18) arranged above the former being less in the area of the step (32) than the diameter of the control aperture (11), so that a zero delivery range is formed without severely limiting the control travel range on the pump piston (1).
