Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a piston-connecting rod arrangement for internal combustion engines with a spherical small end (5), which is supported in a spherical segment-shaped depression (7) of the piston head (8) and in a retaining ring (9) with spherical zone-shaped insertion space (10), a circumferential flange (11), serving as abutment for the retaining ring inserted from the stem end, being situated on the inner side of the stem. In order to increase the operating life of the piston, moulded parts (13, 15) pressed and sintered from chips of austenitic cast iron are embedded in the light alloy matrix of the piston.
