Zusammenfassung:In the case of an electronically commutated DC motor having a stator, a rotor which is fitted with permanent magnets, and rotor position transmitters, for example Hall sensors which are connected to evaluation electronics in order to indicate the position of the rotor, in order to create a short structure length and reliable sampling of predetermined axial shifts of the rotor, it is provided that the rotor position transmitters (8) are constructed such that they project freely into the active rotor space, and that the magnetic field of the rotor magnets (5) is used as the transmitter magnet.
