Zusammenfassung:	The aim of the invention is to indicate a method and an associated arrangement, with which a disposal of batteries becomes possible, in the case of which a threat to the environment is to a great extent excluded. According to the invention, this aim is achieved by the following procedural steps being carried out: collection of batteries in households and commercial establishments, preferably in separate containers, picking up of the collected batteries and supply to an intermediate dump, sorting of the collected batteries according to criteria to be stipulated, disposal of the batteries in authorised disposal establishments. The invention relates to a method for disposing of batteries, in particular of small batteries used in households and commercial establishments, which are collected as special refuse, and an arrangement for implementing the method.
