Zusammenfassung: | Means (84,92) are provided for changing the orientation of the catalyst element from the first to the second orientation. Such means involved components outside the housing and work whilst the element is inside the housing. The element is retained rotatably in the housing. The element rotates around a rotary axis through 180 deg. from its first to its second orientation. The drive unit has a propeller shaft and a housing which defines an exhaust gas passage, in which a shoulder (68) is provided. The catalyst element is in the exhaust gas passage which has a rib (78). A holer sleeve (84) is arranged in the housing and partly encompasses the catalyst element. USE/ADVANTAGE - For both outboard and inboard marine engines, a catalyst element which reduces the carbon-type material in the exhaust gas. |
