The width of the withdrawal apertures between the adjacent shield components is greater than that of the shield components.The shield components with their upper ends are connected by links with the suspended cap (15) of the removal units (7). The shield components by means of telescopic cylinders can be moved outwards so far that the removal units, maintaining the support of the shield components on the lying coal, are movable backwards by the full stroke of the mobile equipment. |
