Zusammenfassung:The support arm of the towing hook (3) has a fit into the socket (1) on the vehicle with the hook secured by ball bearings (5) in radial grooves in the support arm. The ball bearings are pushed into the locking position by a spring loaded ratchet (9) inside the towing hook.The ratchet has profiles to lock the ball bearings in the extended position and a profile to hold the ratchet open. A spring loaded trip lever on the side of the arm releases the grip into the locking position when the coupling arm is inserted into the socket.
