Method for constructing sheet piling in ground with obstructions - uses bore holes, sunk below desired final depth, to create erosion zones between obstacles and final depth

Zusammenfassung: | A row of bore holes (8) are sunk to below the desired final depth (9) of the sheet piling. Overlapping areas of erosion (16) are created in at least the area between the obstructions (7) and the final depth, by using a nozzle jet process and a cutting medium. This permits the obstacles to sink below the desired depth. Sheet piles, combined tube/sheet elements, or posts carrying sheet piles, are finally lowered to desired depth, using vibrators or impact tools. The areas of erosion extend from below the final depth to above the obstacle layer. USE/ADVANTAGE - Large depths, e.g, construction of quays. Secure construction at lower costs. |
