Zusammenfassung:	The cooling fan has an electric motor (5) rotating a fan wheel (4) which is contained in a spiral housing (3). The motor has one sidewall incorporating an air intake opening, and a second opposing sidewall incorporating an opening for the motor shaft and having a porous element (11) applied to its inside wall. Pref. a sound absorbing function is provided by the porous element which is in the form of a plate and an air layer between the porous element and the second housing sidewall. The porous element is pref. made of a resilient material containing active carbon. USE/ADVANTAGE - For vehicle air conditioning, domestic use, or electronic computer cooling. Combined deodorising and damping function.
