Zusammenfassung:	The coupling mechanism is attached to the main printer housing (2) in which is located a print contact roller or a spindle (15A). A feed unit (3) that has a contact roller on a spindle (6) is contained in the coupling mechanism, whereby the roller is driven to transfer a sheet of paper from a stack. The print feed roller spindle has a pinion gear (16) coupled via gears to a drive gear (12). The drive gear is in mesh with a sun gear (11) held in a fixed position. Mounted on the shaft of the sun gear is a spring loaded arm (21) supporting a planet gear (24). The arm moves on a curved guide (26) to couple the contact roller and so allow sheet transfer to take place. ADVANTAGE - Reduced printer initialisation time, compact design.
