Zusammenfassung:	The leadscrew (5) of the jack is loaded in tension by contrast with the column type loading found in conventional screw jacks. Connected to the outer guide tube (3) by its top cover (8) is an inner section (7) with two longitudinal slits. Between the guide tube and inner section is the telescoping support tube (4). The nut (6) is rotationally locked to a thrust block (13) having lugs which project through the slits of the section (8) and are secured to the support tube (4). Thus the thrust load in the jack is transferred to the support tube and the leadscrew is loaded only in tension. USE/ADVANTAGE - Screw jack for supporting containers, cabins etc. is of reduced weight and easier to use.
