Zusammenfassung:	A portable metal case for electrical/electronic equipment has a rectangular housing (10) with front (5) and rear (6) access and contains an interior frame supported with clearance from the housing (10) by a vibration damping structure. The vertical sides (14, 15) together with the base (12) and top are formed from a continuous metal sheet which is folded to provide the housing (10) with 45 deg. corners (16) welded as a box and stiffened at its front and back peripheries by hollow section profiles also folded from strip. The frame contains the interior equipment compartments and is cushioned against vibration by sheet metal strips separated by an M-section elastomer layer. USE/ADVANTAGE - Is functionally convenient, has improved external appearance and can be cost-effectively manufactured. Design is suitable for efficient sealing/screening against environmental e.g temp. and electromagnetic influences.
