New n-aryl tri:fluoro-acetoacetamide derivs. - are useful as antiinflammatory, antithrombotic, analgesic and antipyretic agents

Trifluoroacetoacetamide derivs. of formula (I) R1R2N-CO-C(R3)(R4)-C(CF3)=X and their salts are new. R1 is Ar or Het; Ar is phenyl substd. by 0-3 of 1-6C alkyl, OH, 1-6C alkoxy, SH, 1-6C alkylthio, halogen, NO2, CF3, CN, SO3H, COOH, 2-7C alkoxycarbonyl, NH2 or mono- or di(1-6C alkyl)amino; Het is eg., 1H-pyrrol-2-yl, 1H-pyrrol-3-yl, 1H-pyrazol-3-yl, 1H-imidazol-2-yl, 1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl, 2- or 3-thienyl, 2-thiazolyl, etc. R2 is H or 1-6C alkyl; R3 and R4 are H, Ar, 1-6C alkyl or Ar(1-6C)alkyl; X is O or NR5; R5 is H, 1-6C alkyl, R1, OH or 1-6C alkoxy; with the exception of: N-methyl-N-phenyl-4,4,4-trifluoro-acetoacetamide and N-R',-4,4,4-trifluoro-acetoacetamides, where R1' is phenyl, 2-methylphenyl, 2-methoxyphenyl, 2- or 4-chlorophenyl, 4-nitrophenyl, 1H-pyrazol-3-yl and 5-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl. USE - (I) have antiinflammatory, antithrombotic, analgesic and antipyretic activity.
